Kiprusoff's Jersey Retirement
Calgary Flames to Honour All-Time Wins Leader
Event Details Announced
The Calgary Flames are thrilled to announce the details of the jersey retirement ceremony for Miikka Kiprusoff, the team's all-time wins leader. The ceremony will take place on October 28, 2023, at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Kiprusoff's number 34 will be raised to the rafters, joining the likes of Lanny McDonald, Al MacInnis, and Jarome Iginla.
"Miikka Kiprusoff is one of the greatest goaltenders in Flames history," said Flames President and General Manager Brad Treliving. "He was a key member of our team's success during his time in Calgary, and we are honoured to retire his number." Kiprusoff played 11 seasons with the Flames, posting a record of 301-211-65 with a 2.59 GAA and a .914 save percentage.
The jersey retirement ceremony will be a special event for Flames fans, as they will have the opportunity to celebrate the career of one of their favourite players. Kiprusoff was a fan favourite during his time in Calgary, and his jersey retirement is a fitting tribute to his legacy.
